Relics, Science and Archaeology

I am a British archaeologist specialising in new approaches to the study of the past. My research focuses mainly on the study of Christian relics, and the application of modern science to the study of the past.

I am a Senior Researcher (Turku Institute for Advanced Studies – Department of Archaeology) at the University of Turku in Finland. I am also a Research Associate at the University of Oxford (School of Archaeology) in the UK.

My work has so far resulted in ten peer-reviewed publications, over thirty academic lectures (with two as keynote speaker), six international documentary films and numerous press articles. I also undertake strategic work, in the interdisciplinary field of Advanced Studies and in the commercial and public sectors.

I apply a collaborative and cross-disciplinary approach to reach innovative solutions. This gives me access to priceless artefacts, cutting edge technology and brilliant people. Together, I’ve learned, we can achieve anything.
